Amsterdam meeting is over

The VIRCLASS project is heading for new ideas and programme development

Amsterdam meeting is over.
15-19. September 2005, 15 members of the VIRCLASS project met together for evaluation and future planning. Partners who have been involved in the project since 2002 met together with new partners from Poland, Netherlands, Austria, Portugal and Bergen.

Summery of the project was presented by project leader and this and other presentations can you see here. Teachers participating in the running of the programme evaluated their experience and we decided to make some minor changes in the educational programme and the curriculum plan.

Our plans for future work is to:

  • create an administrative and financial model for international e-learning studies,
  • make a didactical model for international e-learning programmes in social work and
  • create a VIRTUAL BOOK by collecting the learning material and making it ore audio-visual and more interactive than we have managed so far
  • make a quality test of the models and the Virtual Book by running new courses in autumn 2006
  • increase research on international e-learning studies and dissemination of results by joining conferences and writing articles.

Planning for the future we hope this will result in an e-Learning based international study programme as part of the BA programmes in social work for students in Europe. The educational programme is also offered as a further educational programme for social workers in the field. Read report from the Amsterdam meeting.
